Atoli woke with a start, her cheek flushed as she sat up. "O-Oh..." She whispered, putting a hand to cheek. She sat there for a moment with wide eyes, trying to process what had just happened in her dream, before she finally realized what the Dreamberry at her bedside was doing. Her eyes got wider, if possible. "Ah--!!" She shot a hand out to shut it off, and the feed ended a second later.

At first, all that is seen is a quiet town. Only moments later, Atoli appeared in a blur of blue by the Chaos Gate in the center platform. Though she was alone, she had a smile on her face as she left the platform, heading towards the looming gate. She made her way through, only pausing briefly for the next part of the area to load.

The first thing in sight on the other side of the gate was a rounded building with a booths set up along the sides. It seemed that was where Atoli was headed, because she went straight forward to the first booth.

When she got close enough to the NPC at the booth, a menu popped up, showing a list of different quests she could select. Skimming through them, she finally picked one. The menu disappeared when she did, but a text box immediately took it's place.

The NPC turned away from Atoli, reaching for a phone and apparently calling someone.

Hello? This is the Quest Shop. Thank you for your patronage. We have an adventure here who has accepted your quest.

She waited patiently, listening as the NPC made the call, and a moment or two later, a new NPC walked up. It was a little man in a white outfit and matching hat that had a big tuff of red on the top.

How are you doing? My name is Dr. Pao. I'm conducting research on Lucky Animals. Do you know anything about them? They're strange animals that appear in areas and grant you a different type of luck when you capture them. My current interest lies in the Black Sleipnir. It's extremely timid. As long as there are no monsters around, I'm certain it will relax and show itself. I want you to put this on the Black Sleipnir. (Another text box appeared, saying "Acquired Protective Charm.") The charm will allow me to locate the Black Sleipnir at any time. It will allow me to learn a great deal more about it. I'll pray for your success.

And with that, the NPC turns and walks away.
